Notifications #
Objective and access #
The Notifications menu brings together user events: assignments, manager changes, deadlines and reminders.
Usage #
Filter on New, open the item then mark it read. Emails are sent asynchronously by Messenger according to the tenant's messaging system.
Deadlines #
The app:actions:notify-deadlines command generates the action alerts. Review reminders and governance expirations are handled by the scheduler.
Troubleshooting #
If the interface receives the event but not the email, check the worker and email configuration rather than recreating the action.
Types of events #
Notifications cover in particular assignment, change of manager, deadline for action, review reminder and expiration of a decision. They remain specific to the user and the tenant.
Process a notification #
- Filter on New.
- Open the associated resource.
- Check the requested action and its deadline.
- Complete or reassign the work.
- Mark the notification as read.
Marking as read does not address the cause: the status of the action, risk or review must be updated in its module.
Interface and email #
The notification is first persisted, then an asynchronous message requests the email. The interface can therefore display the event before receiving the message. The selected messaging depends on the organization.
Diagnosis #
If nothing appears, check that the event should have targeted the current user. If only the email part is missing, check Messenger worker, active provider, sending test and logs. Avoid manually restarting the same operation at the risk of producing duplicates.
